How to Read and Understand the Bible
Our lives changed forever when we decided to prioritize reading our bibles and journaling what God was speaking to us. This choice has revolutionized our faith, our marriage, our family, and our daily perspective on life.
We want to invite you to join us on life’s greatest adventure; getting to know the God who loves you and created you. We’ve created a map for you to follow from our years of experience. It is called 4 Today. 4 Today is broken up into three exciting journeys. Following Jesus, Going Deeper, and Abundant Living. We encourage you to complete each at your own pace and change your life forever.
The You Version Bible App is a great tool for your phone or tablet. It delivers daily bible verses and bible reading plans. You can also use this app to take notes in church. Each week the sermon outline is provided under the events tab.
Also, we want to encourage you to explore “The Bible Project”. The Bible Project is a web site with short animated videos that help you understand the bible. It is great place to learn about how the bible was created, the culture it was written in, and how it applies to our lives today.
Below are links to 4 Today, the You Version Bible App, and The Bible Project. We encourage you to get started today and connect to everything God has for your life.

Learn to Read the Bible
No matter where you are at in your faith journey there is a plan that will help you learn and grow.
Step 1 – Following Jesus (Beginner Start Here!)
Every journey starts with the first step. This is the first step in 4 Today. It focuses on helping you learn who Jesus is, how he lived, and the basics of bible reading and journaling. The focus is the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
Step 2 – Growing Deeper
Step Two is designed for people who are ready to go more in-depth in their daily Bible engagement. In this reading plan, you will cover the entire New Testament, as well as the books of Psalms and Proverbs, in 6 months.
Step 3 – Abundant Living
This class goes a bit deeper and requires a higher commitment, but the reward is tremendous. In one year, you will read through the entire Bible. Actually, you will do even better than that; you will read through the Old Testament once, the New Testament twice, Proverbs 12 times, and Psalms four times!
